Why We Use WhatsApp, Email, and Booked Calls at Onpoint Accounting

Accounting and bookkeeping isn’t just about the numbers. They’re about accuracy, detail, and making sure that every figure lines up perfectly so our clients get the right advice and the right results. That kind of work takes focus. It’s what people often call “deep work”—time spent concentrating without distractions, where every detail is checked and every calculation is correct.

When there are interruptions—like unplanned phone calls—this kind of focused work becomes harder. Each time a client manager is pulled away from their task, it can take a long time to fully re-engage with the complexity of what they were working on. That’s why, at OnPoint, we’ve designed how we communicate with you to protect our team’s time while still making sure you always get the support you need.

Why Not Phone Calls?

Our client managers spend much of their day in meetings, on calls with HMRC, or working in detail on client files. A phone call that comes in unplanned is often difficult to answer in the moment, and if answered, it risks breaking their concentration on the work at hand. This doesn’t serve you, and it doesn’t serve the quality of the work being done.

For this reason, we’ve taken the step of blocking incoming calls to the office. This ensures our team isn’t pulled away from deep, detailed work and allows them to remain fully focused on delivering accurate, high-quality results.

That’s not to say we don’t want to talk to you—far from it. We just want to make sure those conversations happen at the right time, when we can give you our full attention.

Our Preferred Ways to Communicate

To make sure your queries are handled quickly, effectively, and without unnecessary disruption to focused work, we encourage you to use:

WhatsApp – A quick, convenient way to send us a message or request an update. It’s ideal for short questions or sharing a quick update. You can WhatsApp us on 01313 850049

Email – The best way to provide details, ask more complex questions, or send us documents. Our team monitors the support inbox together, which means you’ll usually receive a fast response—often within the hour. our whole team monitor support@onpointaccounting.co.uk to ensure rapid responses.

Booked Calls/Meetings – If you’d like to talk something through in detail, you can schedule a call at a time that works for you. This means your client manager can come fully prepared and dedicate that time entirely to your needs.

Phone Calls – We will call you if we feel the situation can be resolved faster than on email or WhatsApp but this will be at a time appropriate to the team members task list

Protecting Focus, Protecting Quality

By blocking incoming calls and channelling communication through WhatsApp, email, and booked calls, we give our team the space they need to focus on deep, complex accounting and bookkeeping work. That means fewer distractions, fewer errors, and ultimately, better results for you.

We’re committed to being responsive and supportive, but also to protecting the quality of the work we deliver. That’s why this approach benefits everyone: you get quicker responses when you need them and more accurate, high-quality work in the background.

At Onpoint Accounting, your success is our focus—and making sure our team can work effectively is one of the best ways we deliver on that promise.
